Shewin ‘n’ Bletherin

*** UPDATE ***

23/06/12 – we’re taking a wee break from Shewin’n’Bletherin while Ashley settles into her new Make It Glasgow studio at 84 Miller Street, Glasgow. Will post some pics of the lovely spave very soon.

02/06/12 – It may be a Bank Holiday but we’ll still be shewin’n’bletherin on Saturday morning. I’ll also have the piece of the Great Tapestry of Scotland I, along with a group of other stitchers will be completing. If you fancy being part of history why not pop in and we can have a chat.

28/04/12 – almost finished my Quentin Crisp cross stitch for an exhibition so so not pop along to Shewin’n’Bletherin for a sneaky look? Afterwards I’ll be dashing up to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for a workshop as part of Glasgow International Artists Bookfair.

31/03/12 – come and join us for the last Shewin’n’Bletherin before Easter. I’ll be cross-stitching Quentin Crisp but I can’t guarantee I’ll be dressed as the Easter Bunny.

10/03/12 – This week I’m going to be drop spinning, knitting and enjoying looking at the Farewell to the Miracle exhibition. Why not come along for some Shewin’n’Bletherin, bring your project and join the fun.

04/02/12 – Due to a crazy work schedule I won’t be at Shewin’n’bletherin but don’t let that stop you going along. Ashley will be more than happy to see you and keep you warm with hot chocolate.

14/01/12 – oh yeah it’s 2012 and Shewin’n’Bletherin is BACK this Saturday.

Why not pop along and beat the January blues with some blethering over a coffee? Or make me jealous by bringing along any crafty presents you received for Christmas.

10/12/11 – penultimate Shewin n Bletherin morning in Make It Glasgow this Saturday.

Why not cone along and take a break from the crowds while finishing your handmade Christmas presents?

26/11/11 – We’re back from our trip to Edinburgh and ready for some serious stitching. As usual we’ll be there between 11am & 1.30pm so feel free to pop in any time with the project you’re working on.

I believe Ashley from Make It Glasgow is also looking at starting the Sarah Lund Jumper and I’m sorely tempted to have a go too.

19/11/11 – Make It Glasgow is going to be closed this Saturday. Along with Ashley from MIG Frayedattheedges will instead be attending Voluntary Arts Scotland national conference in Edinburgh on that day.

Shewin’n’Bletherin will be returning the following Saturday and we hope you can join us for more crafty fun.

08/11/11 – just some advance warning that I won’t be at Shewin’n’Bletherin this Saturday. I’m off to Loch Fyne for a craft fair at Inver Cottage but don’t let that stop you popping along with the piece you’re working on.

25/09/11 – we’ve now had two lovely meeting & I made a wee cross stitch banner for the group.

12/09/11 – I’ve created a page on Posterous just for Shewin n Bletherin so we can share photos and let everyone know about up coming events. Here is the page to keep an eye on:

10/09/2011 – BREAKING NEWS: Shewin n Bletherin will start next week. That’s Saturday 17th September. Put the date in your diary and look out for updates this week.

11/07/11 – The group is going to start in early September 2011, only six weeks away (yikes) and I’m busy sorting out dates and promotional leaflets.

I’m setting up a new group for hand stitchers of all disciplines and levels. It will take place in Make It Glasgow.

It’s informal & free all you need to do is bring the piece you’re working on.

More info will appear on this page along with the odd blog post.

If you want to find out more have a read of THIS.
