Projects I’m participating in

As well as working on my own pieces I am also part of larger projects. Below is a selection of projects you may wish to visit or become part of. Please either email the organiser directly or via me if you would like more information.

April – July 2016 – I’m embroidering circles every day for the 100 day project

Ongoing – I’m happily knitting away with Knit For Unity. Anyone can join & if you’re not in Glasgow get in touch with them to see how you can help.

July 2015campaign for Marks & Spencer to become a Living Wage employer

June 2013 – I am participating in various events during Scottish Refugee Week and invite you to submit embroidery for Stitching Continents. Come and join me in the Festival Lounge on the 18th and 22nd of June to help embroider some fabric napkins for the Napkin Project.

April-May 2013: With Voluntary Arts Scotland and a wonderful group of makers I’ll be part of the Craftbomb at The Kibble Palace, Botanic Gardens, Glasgow. come along on 14/04 & 11/05 to help us create some fun.

Spring 2013: I’ll be creating an embroidered love letter for East London Craft Guerilla‘s open exhibition.

January 2013: Getting active with the Craftivist Collective project #imapiece which aims to send a serious message to the leaders of the G8 regarding their commitment to ending child hunger.

2012/13: I am participating in the Great Tapestry of Scotland as a group co-ordinator for one of the banners.

October 2012: Come and join in some knitting fun for charity throughout October. Simple squares which will be made into blankets and jumpers.

July 2012: Why not join me and other crafty folk brightening up the area around Hampden Park, Glasgow – OLYMPIC YARNMOB NEEDS YOU. More info in this blog post.

June 2012: I have made some Arctic Terns for the Cape Farewell Sea Change project –

June 2012: I am part of the Queens exhibition at the Virginia Gallery, Virginia Street, Glasgow.
