This weekend there’s a wee exhibition opening in Glasgow. When I say wee I mean that all the art is postcard size, as with each artist submitting up to three pieces it’s certainly not going to be small in any other way.
The exhibition will be held inside Graffiti Clothing‘s premises within BAaD, Moncur Street. It is the brainchild of Rebecca Scott, who will be launching her own exhibition at the same time, and I’m really looking forward to seeing her latest work.
Did I mention that most of the work on show will be for sale and at least 10% of the sale price will go to Scottish Association for Mental Health? Just another reason to pop along this weekend.
All going well I’ll be exhibiting two pieces which are currently in the hands of Royal Mail. I couldn’t get good photos of the embroidered pieces but hopefully the pics below will give you an idea of what I’ve submitted. The circle study is on recycled cotton while Manfred, after the Tchaikovsky symphony, is stitched directly on to paper.
Here’s a link to the Facebook event which gives you all the info you need.
