The General

As it has been a beautiful summer I hope you can forgive me for not posting as regularly as often as normal. I’ve not been away, just enjoying the sunshine.

I’m still contemplating the results of the poll on my last blog post and recently had some fun embroidering on a leaflet for a recent concert. The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performed a live score of Buster Keaton’s silent movie The General, which, according to IMDB was his favourite film and loosely based on real events.

I was lucky enough to work for performance and which was laugh out loud funny – not often I say that about films! The orchestra were perfect in their timing and had huge grins on their faces at the end of it, as did we.

Their leaflet was beautiful and cried out for some embroidery. Well, how could I resist…

The General - BBC SSO The General - BBC SSO I had fun playing with this. So, if you have a poster or leaflet you’d like embroidered for promotional use please get in touch.
