Oh yes! We’re talking buttons! Or maybe brooches…hmmm.

Recently I’ve been enjoying making hand covered buttons and embellishing them with embroidery and beading. I’ve been using tweed, silk and Liberty Print to cover them and then just playing with the material.

These beauties are all 40mm wide and although I’ve left them as buttons I think they would look just as good as brooches sewn onto cardigans, jackets or bags. I’m also making a few sets of smaller buttons which will be perfect for sprucing up tops with boring buttons.

I will be selling them at the Little Birds Market on 15th May but as ever if you would like to commission a button or two please get in touch.

  1. Very nice post thanks for sharing. You have a great layout here. Beading is a hobby I truly enjoy. Craft shows are an added bonus.
