For my godmother

Recently it was my godmother’s birthday an *ahem* big birthday but we won’t dwell on that as it will only remind me that I’m getting older too.

I decided it would be nice to make something personal for her so thinking of her taste and the colours she likes I made some lavender filled hanging hearts.

Using cream, brown and burgundy I’ve made two distinct hearts for different rooms. The first is mainly cream with one side silk with a curvy stitched tree on it.

The other has a zig-zag burgundy ribbon running across one side while the other has white flowers on a cream background. I’m not sure you can see it in the picture but at the centre of each flower is a tiny french knot in gold thread. Both have hand covered buttons on them to complete the heart.

They were fun to make & hopefully will look fab in her home.
