Recently I’ve been letting you know about my adventures upcycling pieces for folksy (http://www.folksy.com) who asked crafters to upcycle charity bought items in aid of charity.
Well, loads of us took up the challenge and the result is an auction on eBay in aid of Sue Ryder Charities which helps people with different illnesses.
The all important link is http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/upyclexmas. There are 144 amazing pieces for auction from stain glass windows to plushies, clothes to jewellery and even some ornaments.
All the crafters have given their time and energy for free and will make nothing from it so the more that an item goes for the more dosh there is for the charity. I believe around £900 has been raised so far which is fab & doesn’t take into account the money local charity shops will have made from our original purchases
I really recommend that you have a look as the auction closes on Saturday evening (UK time) and it’s your chance to not only bag a unique item but give a little for Christmas.
PS if you’re not sure what to bid on a wee hint is my items are the purple tweed skirt and the embroidered denim skirt.
