wedding card

This is a short blog to let you see a card I made for my friend who is getting married in Mauritius next weekend.

I made the card as part of Sharon’s wedding gift from our work so all staff have signed it. I wanted to give it a romantic edge and something that she could keep and even frame if she wanted so decided on a Victorian feel with cross stitch, beading and subtle cream colours. The effect reminds me of lace but have a look and see what you think…

Building up the card I mounted the cross stitch on gold card which was placed on top of cream card. Rather than asking everyone to sign inside (and possibly damage the card) I also supplied an inlay which can be taken out if the card is mounted.

Hopefully you’ll agree that it’s a lovely reminder of her wedding. Oh and don’ worry she’s already been given it so you don’t need to keep this blog a secret.
